Pupils and staff at Grace Dieu enjoyed a very British tea party – to celebrate the Royal Wedding!
“It was lovely for the children and staff to celebrate the Royal Wedding – and we were blessed with such glorious weather!” says Headmistress Margaret Kewell.
The children all thoroughly enjoyed the day – wearing red, white and blue in true celebration style! They took part in a range of Royal Wedding activities both inside and outside of the classroom including ‘Capture the Flag’. These activities form part of our comprehensive PSHCE programme, which directly links to British Values. “We value and celebrate being part of Britain,” continues Mrs Kewell, “so the opportunity to celebrate traditions and national events, such as the Royal Wedding is a great learning experience for our pupils.”
The whole school, including staff from across all departments, gathered to enjoy some very delicious British snacks on the Headmistresses’ lawn, including royal tea cakes and cucumber sandwiches.
