Our Campus

Grace Dieu Manor School is situated in 120 acres of idyllic parkland – there is literally acres of space for pupils to grow…

There is space for children to thrive academically as they move through each of the three sections of our School. Each housed in their own distinct area, providing tailored facilities and space for that specific phase of a child’s development:

The nursery is a nurturing space for children to explore the world around them in a fun and educationally stimulating environment.

The Pre-Prep provides the perfect space for children aged 3-7 to grow – by developing all the essential building blocks they need to be confident in their life and learning.

The Prep department, for pupils aged 7-11, is an ideal space to prepare children for senior school.

There is space to learn outdoors. We offer proper Forest School – with acres of different spaces for children to use depending on what they are learning. We have forests for den building and exploring, we have parkland for investigating and using, as well as fields of animals to tend and a pond to use for pond dipping. Our parkland is so incredibly special, thanks to its abundance of flora and fauna, that 11 acres of land has been designated by Natural England as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). To read more about our SSSI see below.

There is space to take part in sport. We have acres of sports pitches as well as playing courts, a large purpose-built sports hall and our own 20 metre indoor swimming pool.

There is also, importantly, space to play, to have fun and enjoy childhood. We have acres of safe space for children to play during break time; on one of our playing fields or playgrounds.

The SSSI Area

Grace Dieu Manor School is set within 120 acres of beautiful countryside. Part of our grounds include an area designated by Natural England as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), and this area has recently undergone complete regeneration.

There are 11 acres of land that have been protected for future generations: 6 acres of woodland, 4 acres of meadow (including a wetland meadow area), a sizable pond which is fed by a freshwater spring, and an abundance of flora and fauna. The SSSI is a beautiful and tranquil place.

The SSSI is perfect for pupils to enjoy and benefit from – not just those who attend Grace Dieu. We welcome pupils from other schools to visit for field trips or regular activities. This would suit all Key Stages (1-5) whether that be ‘Forest School’ activities, den building, pond dipping, observations, Gruffalo trails (a popular one!), data gathering, art, photography and much more. We would be delighted to hear from other schools that would like to use our SSSI – please do not hesitate to get in touch.
