We are delighted to introduce our new Deputy Head, Victoria Darby, who joins Grace Dieu in September.
Currently, Victoria is the Assistant Head at Christ the King Catholic Primary in Leicester, where she has also been acting Head of School.
“Victoria joins us with a wealth of experience in teaching and in leadership and management and we are very excited to have her on board as a member of the Grace Dieu team from September,” says Headmistress Margaret Kewell. “I am confident that she will bring with her a raft of innovative ideas for further developing not only the curriculum, but also all aspects of life at Grace Dieu – changes that will significantly benefit each and every child.”
Victoria studied Primary Education with a specialism in Geography in Sheffield where she gained her BA (Hons) in Primary Education. Over her career, Victoria has spent time teaching in Sheffield and London, before returning to her home town to continue to further her career in education.
“I’m incredibly excited to be joining the Grace Dieu family and continuing to build on the exceptional standards of teaching and learning that the School offers,” says Victoria. “I am particularly looking forward to working with Mrs Kewell, to get to know the team and to provide children with the very best education so that they can reach their full potential.”
Alongside enjoying spending time with her own children, Joshua and William, Victoria is a group leader for the charity HCPT The Pilgrimage Trust which provides children with physical, social and emotional needs, a week’s pilgrimage holiday in Lourdes, France. She also enjoys going for long walks with her family and occasionally can be seen completing 10km muddy runs for charity!
