Academic Excellence
A
range of academic ability is celebrated at Grace Dieu. Pride is
taken in the fact that some pupils depart and enter senior schools
with scholarships while others, with lesser talent, receive the
support and encouragement that they need to maximise their
potential. Academic rigour is considered important. To that end,
dedicated and committed teaching combines with small classes to
provide an environment in which demands are made of the
intellectually gifted and help is given to those who are less able.
All pupils are encouraged to take a pride in their achievements.
The programme of study at Grace Dieu receives its framework from
the National Curriculum but is in no way restricted by it. All
children are entered for Key Stage Tests and outstanding results are
achieved.
At the centre of the manor house, steeped as it is in history,
lies the superbly equipped suite for Information and Communication
Technology. The school is well aware of its past, and is enriched
thereby, but it looks to the future with enthusiasm and vigour.
