After Grace Dieu

An important part of our role in a preparatory school is to ensure that pupils are ready to move on happily to senior schools at the age of 13. Grace Dieu has established close links with many such schools in the Midlands and beyond, and great care is taken to ensure that discussion takes place with parents regarding the range of options that lie ahead. Our aim is that the education children receive at Grace Dieu will assist them to face the next stage in their lives with cheerful confidence and with a growing awareness of the needs of others.

" I have really enjoyed the great sense of community throughout the school" Jonathan Rice Head Boy 2008/2009

What our parents have said about children who left Grace Dieu at 13 years of age (year 8):

"He blossomed in those final two years in the school, not least because Grace Dieu gave him the security to emotionally mature; he is now coping very well at the Grammar School and is not fazed by the standard or the amount of work that he has to do."

"She became an increasingly big fish in a small pond - it was just right for her and, looking back, she would not have coped half as well at senior school if she had moved at 11"

"The final period at Grace Dieu was such fun for all the family, and we are thrilled that our daughter stayed on to enjoy getting to the top of the tree before moving to fresh challenges"

A Past Parent's Testimonial

"Sixteen years after first walking through the stunning grounds that surround Grace Dieu Manor School, we know we could not have made a better decision for our son’s preparatory school education. After searching and visiting several schools, the choice was easy.

Our memories of Sebastian’s 7 years at Grace Dieu manor are wonderful, the education , the pastoral care, the ability of the school to identify and encourage each child as an individual and to witness our son both flourish socially and educationally, ensuring he achieved his first choice of Grammar school. Now at university, the man he has become in part stems from the grounding and care he received during those formative years.

Given our time again, there would be no choice but Grace Dieu Manor every time.
Thank you."  Mr and Mrs Martison. Leicestershire
