We enjoyed a fabulous Christmas Fair again thanks to our hardworking GDPA. It is always a great success and this year was no exception with the event raising nearly £3,000!
Hundreds of families and members of the local community visited Grace Dieu on a cold, crisp winter morning to support the event and to start their Christmas shopping! Visitors received a warm welcome with mulled wine and mince pies on arrival at our Sports Hall which was transformed into all the fun of our Christmas Fair!
The children loved visiting Santa’s grotto and enjoyed plenty of activities from hook-a-duck to a very popular slime making station. There was further entertainment in the Arts Hall with a fun Splat the Elf game, bouncy castle, Nerf gun shoot out, and a huge obstacle course courtesy of Tay Play Sport.
There were a whole host of beautiful gift stalls to browse with products ranging from handmade gifts and decorations to delicate jewellery, deliciously tempting food and drink to personalised gift ideas for everyone. Not forgetting all the toys, books and a selection of surprise Christmas bags to choose from, creatively decorated and generously donated by our very own pupils!
Visitors took a break from all the games and shopping to stop and enjoy tasty breakfast rolls in our Refectory as well as hot chocolate and an array of sweet treats!
“It is always wonderful to see the whole community together at our annual Christmas Fair and we thank our hardworking GDPA for all the effort they put into events such as these,” says Headmistress Margaret Kewell. “All of the funds raised go directly back into our School and the children really benefit from all of the additions that the GDPA have funded over the years.”
