We are absolutely delighted to announce our Prize Giving 2019 Guest of Honour will be BBC Radio Leicester’s Mid-Morning presenter, Ben Jackson!
Ben, who is a former Grace Dieu pupil, was born and brought up in and around Quorn and Barrow on Soar in Leicestershire. He joined Grace Dieu in 1978 and is returning as Guest of Honour at Prize Giving – to award the variety of prizes and cups to current pupils.
“Prize Giving is the pinnacle of the year, a day of celebration, and a wonderful opportunity to reflect upon each of our pupils’ unique and individual achievements, their personal milestones, and all that they have achieved over this last year,” says Headmistress Margaret Kewell. “It is also an occasion of joy for all of the Grace Dieu community to come together – made even more special by our Guest of Honour joining us to represent our Alumni.”
Ben joined BBC Radio Leicester after studying History and Politics at the University of Coventry. After 19 years presenting the Breakfast Show, he is now the Mid-Morning presenter alongside working as a feature maker for BBC Radio 4’s Farming Today.
“We are looking forward to welcoming Ben back to Grace Dieu, as well as enjoying our Prize Day celebrations with pupils, parents and staff,” concludes Mrs Kewell.
